WHO WE ARE
Jesus Otaku is a cosplay group based out of Southern California and come from all walks of life. Each of us has a unique story, but Jesus brought us together through our love of anime and made us a family.

OUR PURPOSE
Jesus came to reveal God to us and set us free from religious do's and don'ts. He dares you to follow Him into an extraordinary life. We want to be a beacon of that hope, love, and acceptance at anime conventions through activities which:

THIS IS OUR FANDOM
The church has largely misunderstood the otaku sub-culture and has not done a very good job of interacting and engageing with people (every fandom has its trolls). We challenge preconceptions and show a less conventional side of what the church can look like, offering a safe and welcoming community within the culture. We have fun at conventions, participate in events as a group, build relationships, and find ways to serve the people around us. Inevitably we end up having some pretty amazing opportunities to explain who we are and who we live for (Jesus). Most of all, we share our freedom and hope, which only sometimes requires words.
